About PETSITTING:

Hi, this is Kara.  I've been receiving many calls regarding petsitting

and wanted to explain my service more thoroughly.  I started

pet sitting in 1997 when my customers were always asking

who I would refer for boarding.  I would look into their dog's

little eyes and couldn't help but want to take them home with me.

As a service to my customers, I started "pet sitting" more and more.

This is where I take dogs or small animals to work with me during

the day and take them home with me at night.  Because I have

cats of my own, I started offering cat owners the service of

going to their homes while they are away and doing any cat

and/or small animal caretaking.  If needed, I will also do

household necessities while you are away.  I've been told my

prices are very reasonable.  I really enjoy being able to help

out my customers and it gives me great pleasure to know they

trust me to take care of their "babies".

I do request that all pets are up to date on vaccines and

have a bath/grooming while I'm "sitting".  This is to ensure

a healthy, safe, and  insect free environment for my pets and

any others I may be petsitting.   I also would like to

meet/groom the pets beforehand to know this is going to

work out for everyone.  I am considerate of  my neighbors

and can't take dogs that bark a lot or don't like being in a cage.

(There are times when I will need to kennel them, especially

 for sleeping.)

**Being a vet assistant, I'm familiar with giving many different

kinds of medications, including insulin. **

The only thing you NEED to bring is their food.  I can provide

the rest.  Or if you feel more comfortable bringing your pet's

favorite things, that's fine too!!

Because I do have a limit on how many pets I can take care

of at one time, please make your reservations a.s.a.p.

especially for the holidays!! **I CAN NO LONGER TAKE LARGE DOGS, SORRY!!

I hope this clears up what I mean by "pet sitting", but if

you have any other questions or concerns, please don't

hesitate to call.

Thanks!

Kara

FAQ'S:

"My dog got sprayed  by a skunk, do you have anything

to get rid of the smell?"  YES!  There are special

shampoos to get rid of skunk, urine, barn, and "doggie"

smells, along with shampoos that kill fleas and ticks.

All of which are specially made for pets.  (If you suspect

your pet is itching from improper shampoos, chances are,

it is!)

"Is it possible for my pet to overheat while being

groomed?"  Yes.  This is why I have an air conditioned

building and only use room temperature air to dry your

pet.  All pets are continuously monitored.  (If you ever

walk into a grooming shop that's overheated, chances

 are your pet is too!)

"Who is handling my pet?"  The owner is also a certified vet

assistant so has plenty of experience handling all kinds of animals.

(If it appears that a business's owners are never present, chances are,

they're not!)

"Can I feel safe leaving my pet?"  DEFINATELY!  Studio K-9 is in the

back of the building, not near the busy highway.  The entrance is

fenced in.  The door is sturdy enough that the dogs can not push it

open. So, it is nearly impossible for your dogs to get loose and

run away!
